Petitioner herein is working as Lecturer in the Department of School Education and is posted in Govt. Higher Secondary School, Takhatpur, District Bilaspur. Grievance of the petitioner is that while considering the matter of promotion from the post of Lecturer to the post of Principal, the Director, Public Instruotions Chhattisgarh has prepared a list of eligible candidates and has invited them for counseling, however, persons Junior to the petitioner have been short.listed ignoring the seniority position ofthe petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has moved representation,' however, the grievances have not been looked into and if the promotion order is issued without considering his grievances and ultimately it is found to be a lawful grievance, the petitioner shall suffer irreparable loss.

Learned State counsel would submit that if the petitioner moves fresh representation before the competent authority before the Secretary, Department of School Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, the same shall be looked into and appropriate orders would be passed, in accordance with law.

For the foregoing, the writ petition is disposed ofwith a direction that in the event petitioner prefers fresh representation within a period of two weeks from today, the Secretary, Department of School Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh shall decide the representation, in accordance with law by passin'g a reasoned order as early as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of submission of representation.
