This is a fresh appeal filed by the appellant assailing two orders passed under section 14B & 7Q of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 respectively whereby an amount of Rs.88,48,089/- is assessed as damages and Rs.46,55,577/- as interest for the belated payment of EPF dues during the period 01.09.2022 to 31.03.2024.
Perusal of the office report reveals that the appeal is filed within time, hence, admitted for hearing. Along with the appeal, the appellant has filed a misc. application seeking stay.
The proxy counsel appearing on behalf of Sh. Kaushik Kumar Dey has filed the vakalatnama. She further seeks time to file reply to the misc. application for granting stay as well as to the main appeal.
Put up the matter on 14.10.2025 for filing of reply to the misc. application as well as to the appeal. In the meanwhile, respondent is restrained from any taking coercive action till further order.
