SUMMARY UNDER REGULATION 13 (1A) OF THE COMPETITION COMMISSION OF INDIA (PROCEDURE IN REGARD TO THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS RELATING TO COMBINATIONS), REGULATIONS, 2011 (AS AMENDED )
A. Names of Parties to the combination
- The names of the parties to the combination are:
- a. Finquest Financial Solutions Private Limited, ( Finquest/Acquirer )
- b. Ballarpur Industries Limited ( BILT/Target )
- Finquest and BILT are collectively referred to as the Parties .
- B. Nature and purpose of the combination
3. The Proposed Combination relates to subscription of majority equity shareholding of the paid-up capital of the Target by the Acquirer. The Target is currently under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2017( IBC) (Proposed Combination ).
4. The Proposed Combination is in the nature of an acquisition and falls under 5(a)(i)(A) and 5(a)(i)(B) of the Competition Act, 2002.
