- On 7th December, 2017, the Competition Commission of India (“Commission”) received a notice under sub-section (2) of Section 6 of the Competition Act, 2002 (“ Act ”) filed by Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings LLC (‘ Amazon ’/ ‘ Acquirer ’), pursuant to the execution of Investment Agreement (‘ IA ’) dated 23rd September, 2017, entered into and between Amazon and Shoppers Stop Limited (“Shoppers Stop”/ “Target”) (hereinafter Amazon and Shoppers Stop are together referred to as ‘ Parties ’ ) .
