Smt. Baishakhi Halder Vs State of West Bengal and Ors.

Pursuant to order dated 31^st August, 2026 a communication dated 21^st September, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Dholahat Police Station is filed and same is taken on record. Copies of communication dated 21^st September, 2026 are made over to learned advocates representing petitioner and respondent nos.5 to 11.

It is disclosed in communication dated 21^st September, 2026 that in terms of order dated 31^st August, 2026 an enquiry was conducted and subsequent thereto an FIR was registered being Dholahat Police Station Case No.553 dated 4^th September, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS, 2023. It is also disclosed that based on written complaint of respondent no.6 another FIR was registered being Dholahat Police Station Case No.417/26 dated 13^th July, 2026 against the petitioner.

Since criminal prosecution has been initiated against respondent nos.5 to 11 by registering FIR on 4^th September, 2026, concerned police authorities are directed to take expeditious steps to take the investigation to its logical conclusion by submitting report before jurisdictional Magistrate.
