The petitioner submitted that her application dated 17th June, 2024 to the Electricity Department was never considered. Counsel for the respondents stated that pursuant to the order dated 10th February, 2025 passed in WPA/73/2025, the Electricity Department had considered the application, wherein liberty was granted to the petitioner to submit a fresh application for a new electricity connection in respect of the encroached land, subject to compliance with clause 5.30 of the JERC Regulation, 2018 and the A & N Administration Circular dated 9th October, 2023. Observing that the Electricity Department had passed an order in respect of the representation dated 17th June, 2024, the Court disposed of WPA/120/2026, directing that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed, she will be at liberty to take such steps in accordance with law; a copy of the order was to be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner the same day.
