Heard the learned advocate for the writ petitioner.

It appears that the writ petitioner was the applicant before the Tribunal. He has a shortfall of qualifying services for the purposes of grant of pension. The petitioner approached the Tribunal earlier by filing O.A. No. 711 of 2022 wherein a direction was given by the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal to make a representation seeking condonation of the shortfall in the service book before the Block Medical Officer of Health, Barjora, Bankura (BMOH for short).

It appears that thereafter the BMOH was not forwarding the petitioner’s representation, which prompted the petitioner to file the second Original Application being O.A. No. 119 of 2025. When the O.A. 119 of 2025 was taken up on 28.08.2025 it was disposed of with consent of the learned advocate

representing the applicant which is recorded in the order, with a direction to the BMOH to act in terms of the earlier order passed by the Tribunal in O.A. 711 of 2022. The relevant extract of the order of the Tribunal reads:

“Mr.S.K.Mondal, learned counsel does not object, if a direction is given to the Block Medical Officer of Health for taking suitable action in terms of a direction of this Tribunal in the earlier order.

Having heard the submissions of the learned counsels, this application is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 4, the Block Medical Officer of Health, Borjora, Bankura to act upon the direction of this Tribunal dated 10.05.2023 in OA711 of 2022 and submit the representation before the higher authorities. This direction should be complied within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
