In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection Islampur Police Station case no. 399 of 2024 dated 18.07.2024 under Sections 21(c)/25/29 of the of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the learned Special Court has already adhered to the earlier direction passed in connection with the instant case. The seizure list witnesses have been examined.
On the other hand learned advocate for the State submits that out of 12 witnesses 8 witnesses have been examined. The seizure list witnesses have supported the case of the prosecution.
Having considered the same, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for releasing the petitioner on bail.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 179 of 2026 is dismissed.
Learned trial Court would expedite the process of law so that the case is disposed of within a reasonable period of time.
