Heard learned counsels for the parties.

It appears that the petitioners in both the writ petitions claim to have won the 1^st prize of Nagaland State Lottery.

The petitioner in WPA 18490 of 2025 claims that the lottery ticket was sent to him by the 7^th respondent therein through WhatsApp.

The petitioner in WPA 9457 of 2025 claims that she possesses a physical copy of the lottery ticket.

Both the FIRs are being investigated.

Learned counsel for the petitioner in WPA 18490 of 2025 points out that the petitioner in the other writ petition is the niece of the 7^th respondent. The 7^th respondent has allegedly sold the same ticket to the petitioners in both the writ petitions.

The petitioners in both the matters seek fair and impartial investigation so that the right claimant receives the prize amount.

This Court is informed that no complaint has been lodged by the petitioner in WPA 9457 of 2025 and in the said writ petition, the petitioner has sought proper investigation of the complaint lodged by the petitioner in WPA 18490 of 2025.

In view of the above, both the writ petitions are disposed of directing the police authority to conduct fair, proper, unbiased and impartial investigation and take the same to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
