By filing the present writ petition, the petitioner has sought the relocation of a High Tension Overhead Line passing through the premises of a college, namely, Derozio Primary Teachers' Training Institute, located at Karimpur, Nadia.

Pursuant to the petitioner’s request, the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) considered the matter and raised a quotation exceeding Rs. 35 lakhs for the shifting of the overhead electricity line.
