Relying on the petitioner's complaint of 27th September 2023, Behala Police Station registered Behala PS Case No. 149 on 21st June 2025 under Sections 338/340(2) of the B.N.S., with investigation reported in progress; the Officer-in-Charge's report signed 22nd June 2025 was taken on record. Since the police had already initiated investigation on the petitioner's complaint, the bank was restrained from permitting operation of the subject bank account till necessary order is obtained from the learned Trial Court, and the police were directed to ensure the investigation proceeds properly and in accordance with law. The writ petition was disposed of. The Court also recorded that counsel Mr. Srikumar Chakraborty's name had been incorrectly recorded as Mr. Kumar Chakraborty in the order sheet dated 15th May 2025 and directed its correction.
