The present petition seeks a direction to the sole

respondent i.e. Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Yavatmal to decide the caste claim of the petitioner expeditiously and to issue caste validity certificate to him.

As can be seen from the record, the claim of the petitioner was forwarded to the respondent Committee on 23^rd October, 2020 and the same is pending till date. It is further seen from the record that a show cause notice in pursuance to the inquiry conducted by the Vigilance Cell was issued on 29.6.2022 to which reply was filed on 23.3.2023. It is, therefore, clear that the matter is only pending for passing of any order by the Scrutiny Committee.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader also does not dispute the position, we therefore dispose of the petition with direction to the Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Yavatmal to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within two months from the date of this order.

With this direction, Writ Petition is disposed of.
