The petitioners are aggrieved by the delay on the part of the Appellate Authority in hearing the appeal preferred by the petitioners against an order of externment passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad, on 18^th November, 2025. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that, the petitioners have filed an appeal under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 against the externment order, on 9^th December, 2025 and, yet, the appeal is not scheduled for hearing.

As the petitioners have invoked the statutory remedy against the externment order, it would be expedient in the

interest of justice, the Appellate Authority hears and decides the appeal as expeditiously as possible.

The Appellate Authority (R2) is requested to list the appeal for hearing on 2^nd February, 2026 and decide the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and, preferably, within a period of five weeks thereafter.
