Virendra Motilal Rathod Vs State of Maharashtra through the Superintendent Central Priison Nagpur and Another

The petitioner’s son was released on parole on account of illness of his father vide order dated 16.07.2024. In pursuance of the said order, he was released on 29.07.2024. He has initially applied for extension of 15 days, which was granted by Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur vide order dated 23.08.2024. The petitioner seeks further extension of 15 days by contending that the petitioner’s son is suffering from Chikungunya. He has produced Medical Certificate showing the nature of ailment and disabilities which the convict suffered.

We have gone through the medical papers and clinical findings noted by the Medical Officer. Having regard to the said facts, parole leave is extended for further period of 15 days with understanding that there would be no further extension on any count.
