Heard Shri S. P. Bhandarkar, learned counsel who is appointed as Amicus in the present SMPIL.

The issue pertains to the steps to be taken in the matter of implementation of provisions of Environment Protection Act, 1986 and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 in the matter of emulsion of plaster of paris idols.

The SMPIL is being heard for last two years and the local planning authority i.e. Municipal Corporation so also the Pollution Control Board have taken sufficient steps to regulate emulsion of plaster of paris idols so as to minimise the water pollution.

Since for the time being, the purpose for which the SMPIL was initiated is already served, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the same.

As suggested by Amicus Shri S. P. Bhandarkar, we reserve the right of Amicus to address the Court in case a fresh cause is noticed in relation to the aforesaid issue.

All pending Civil Applications are also disposed of accordingly.
