“2. Petitioner seeks medical termination of her pregnancy on the ground that the fetus suffers from severe abnormalities. It is stated that the fetus is presently in its 23rd week.

5.w4306.21.doc 3. Thereafter when the matter was called upon on 25.08.2021 the following order was passed :
“3. Today when the matter is called upon, Smt. Purav, learned AGP has placed before us report of the medical board dated 21.08.2021 which we have perused.
“Key recommendations of the panel (if any) with justification:On clinical and ultra sonographic examination mother has pregnancy of 23 weeks. She has no major medical complications at present. In view of ultra sonographic findings of complex cardiac anomalies likely to be double outlet right ventricle and hypo plastic left side of heart, in the post natal period baby will require multiple operations early in life for survival. Baby will have poor prognosis with significant morbidity and mortality. Thus medical termination of pregnancy is recommended with kind permission of Hon’ble High Court.”
