2 By the present application, the appellant Reliance General Insurance Co.Ltd, seek condonation of delay of 1 year 40 days in filing an Appeal, assailing the judgment and award dated 16^th August 2016 passed by the MACT, Mumbai which is challenged in Appeal. Paragraph no.3 of the application proceed to state that the delay was procedural since the file had to be routed through several departments and then it was finally taken

to the Regional office and to the head office whose approval was very much necessary before instituting the Appeal. This procedural rigmarole consume some time and cause the delay of 1 year 40 days, is the explanation offered. The delay being procedural in nature and having been sufficiently explained and the reasons stated are bonafide, Civil Application No.2118 of 2018 is allowed by condoning the delay of 1 year 40 days in institution of the Appeal.

3 Civil Application stands disposed of in the aforesaid

4 Registry is directed to register the Appeal. Learned counsel waive service for the respondents.

5 Appellant is directed to prepare a paper book/compilation of documents within a period of 12 weeks from today. On the paper book being filed, the parties are at liberty to move this Court for fixing up a date for final hearing of the Appeal.
