packets to the police. He do not remember how much postcards and packets were handed over to police. Police had attached those post cards and packets under panchanama. The postcards and envelope dated 5th Noember, 1991, 18th March, 1992 and 14th December, 1992 were shown to him. He stated that those are not the same which he had produced before the police. He cannot state as to whether the postcards are in the handwriting of accused no.1. He cannot state whether these postcards bear signatures of accused no.1. The letter written on the page of notebook dated 1st March, 1993, is shown to him. It does not bear signature of Girija. The said letter is not in the handwriting of Girija. In the cross examination by prosecution, he stated that it is not true that postcards dated 5th November, 1991, 18th March, 1992 and 14th December, 1992, are written by accused no.1 and that he had sent the same to him or he had produced the same. P.W.4 Vishwambhar Surve is the police inspector. He conducted investigation. He recorded statement of witnesses. He registered C.R.No.25 of 1993. Thereafter investigation was taken over by another oficer.
