In the above circumstances, we dispose of the

above petition by directing the Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra to dispose of the request of respondent No.2 contained in the letter dated 20.5.2003 (a copy of which is annexed at Exhibit

“A-2” at page 27-C of the petition) as expeditiously as possible and preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Ordered accordingly.

It is made clear that we have not gone into merits of the matter. All points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open.

In order to enable respondent No.1 to comply with this order, the petitioner shall remain present before respondent No.1 on 10.5.2018 along with a copy of the said request and a copy of this order.
