As far as prayer clauses (c) and (d) are concerned with the passage of time, they do not survive. As the said prayers do not survive, the prayer clauses (a) and (b) have become academic, as of today, as far as the petitioners are concerned. Therefore, it is not necessary to entertain these petitions. We accordingly dispose of both the petitions. However, we make it clear that if an occasion arises, it will be open for the petitioners to file fresh petitions for reliefs in terms of prayer clauses (a) and (b).
