1 The above Civil Application has been filed seeking the following

reliefs :-

“The Applicants therefore pray that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to :-

(a) Allow the present Civil Application and condone the delay in constituting the Inquiry Committee as prescribed under the MEPS Rules, and, in compliance of this Hon'ble Court's order dated 5.2.2014

(b) extend, by a further 4 weeks, from the date of hearing and final disposal of this Application, the time limit for constituting the Inquiry Committee, under the MEPS Rules.”

2 The Committee as contemplated by the order dated 5.3.2014 [wrongly mentioned as 5.2.2014 in prayer clause (a)] was to be constituted within a period of four weeks from the date of the said order. The reasons why the Committee could not be constituted are mentioned in Paragraphs 3, 5 and 7 of the Civil application.

3 The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent No.1 in above Civil Application questions the reasons mentioned in the said paragraphs.

4 In my view, having regard to the reasons mentioned, case for extension of time is made out. The learned counsel for the Applicants/Petitioners states that the Inquiry Committee has already been constituted albeit belatedly. Having regard to the said fact, time to constitute the Inquiry Committee as directed by the order dated 5/3/2014 is extended till date i.e. till 9^th June 2015. The above Civil Application is accordingly disposed of.
