Petitioners are seeking direction to the Debt Recovery Tribunal for early disposal of interim applications tendered on 12.12.2012 as well as another application wherein ad-interim exparty order has been issued on 09.08.2012.

Learned counsel for respondents has invited our attention to the order issued by the tribunal on 24.04.2014 wherein it is recorded that the tribunal intended to take up interim applications for hearing however, because of the insistence of learned counsel for petitioners herein, applications were not taken up. It was reported to the tribunal that since instant writ petition is pending before this Court, petitioners are interested in securing order from this Court and the interim applications would be

argued after disposal of writ petition.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, the ends of justice would be met by directing the Presiding Officer, Debt Recovery Tribunal, to take up interim applications presented by petitioners for consideration, expeditiously. Appropriate order be passed in accordance with law after extending an opportunity of hearing to the parties, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from today. Writ petition stands disposed of.
