. Heard. Learned AGP waives service of notice for Respondent – State of Maharashtra. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that recruitment rules have been framed by the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation, which have been sent to the Respondent for its sanction in accordance with law. However, the Respondent is not likely to sanction the said recruitment rules forthwith, resulting in various posts falling vacant. Our attention is invited to the judgment and order dated 8^th January, 2007 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 2446 of 2006 in the case – Gopal B. Bhangare & Ors., Petitioners Vs. Kalyan Dombivli

Municipal Corporation & Ors. It is submitted that under similar circumstances this Court has directed the State Government to take decision in accordance with law. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that recruitment rules have been framed and sent to the Respondent State Government for sanction, we direct the Respondent State-Government to take steps for sanction of the recruitment rules, in accordance with law, if such rules have been sent for their sanction, at any rate not later than six weeks from the receipt of this order and file compliance report to this Court. Writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
