1.Heard.

2.Pursuant to directions of this Court dated
19th August, 2013, a meeting was held of the concerned
authorities on 30th August 2013 before learned
PrincipalSecretary,HomeDepartment.The
Commissioner, Pune, in the said meeting has informed
that 339 cases; out of which 181 cases, for parole,
were for extension of leave while 17 were for the year
2012. The learned Principal Secretary has issued
necessary directions.

3.We are satisfied about such directions. We
expect the competent authorities to adhere to
Government Resolutions issued from time to time and
the direction issued on 30th August, 2013, in its
letter and spirit.

4.It was only due to intervention of the
Court, the case of the present applicant Ramesh was
attended expeditiously.

¶25

We expect same zeal from the concerned
authorities for other convicts who are seeking leave
or parole under the provisions of law.
5.With above clarification, the writ petition
disposed of as grievance of the petitioner is
positively attended.
