By this petition, the petitioner seeks a writ of certiorari for quashing and setting aside the order passed by the respondent No.1-Divisional Caste Scrutiny Committee on 04/06/2012 rejecting the claim of the petitioner of belonging to 'Kachhi' caste.

The respondent No.1 has filed an affidavit-in-reply and it is stated in paragraph No.5 of the same that in view of the corrigendum dated 18^th of October, 2012, the correction has been made in the entry at Sr.No.85 in the list of OBC and in view of the corrigendum, the respondent No.1-Committee would again verify the caste claim of the petitioner.

In view of the statement made in paragraph No.5 of the affidavit-in-reply, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

Hence, the impugned order passed by the respondent No.1 on 04/06/2012 is quashed and set aside. The respondent No.1-Committee should decide the caste claim of the petitioner

within four months from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Committee on 28^th of January, 2013. Since the Committee would be deciding the caste claim of the petitioner afresh, the admission of the petitioner is protected till the Committee decides the matter. In the facts of the case, there would be no order as to costs.
