By this Petition, the Petitioner challenges the order passed by the learned Minister (Revenue) dated 27 October 2012. By the impugned order, the learned Minister has directed that the revenue record, pertaining to the property in question, be corrected to bring it in consonance with the registered sale deed, executed in respect of the property. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that a civil suit instituted for challenging the said sale deed is pending.

Considering the fact that entries in the revenue record do not confer substantive rights on the parties, and that the revenue entries are maintained for fiscal purposes and that in the proceedings for correction of the revenue record, substantive rights of the parties are not decided, there is no warrant to interfere with the impugned order. As clarified in the impugned order itself ,the impugned order will be

Writ Petition is accordingly rejected, with above clarification.
