Varsha. Vaishali and her son Vijay, Varsha and her nephew Siddharth were present at home. Varsha opened the door for the Appellant and thereafter the Appellant and Varsha were talking while sitting on the bed. The Appellant was requesting Varsha to return home. Varsha, however, had declined to return home. The Appellant, thereafter, requested Varsha to return home otherwise she would be responsible for the consequences. While the Appellant and Varsha were talking with each other, Vaishali heard a loud cry and while going in the room where Varsha and Appellant were sitting, she noticed that the Appellant had held Varsha and assaulted her with knife on her chest, stomach, etc. Vaishali, Vijay and Siddharth attempted to intervene and rescue Varsha. The Appellant thereafter fled away from the house of Vaishali. Vijay had sustained some minor injuries. In crossexamination, an omission has been elicited that she had not stated in her report at Exhibit 10 that the Appellant had asked Varsha whether she is willing to return home or wanted to face the consequences.
