from 20.02.1984. The complainant employee along with two other employees was arrested on 07.05.1982 by Shegaon Police on the charge of commission of dacoity and rape and criminal case was lodged against them. The complainant and his companions were convicted by the trial Court. However, on consideration of appeal by the High Court, Bench at Nagpur, they were acquitted on 04.07.1988. On receipt of copy of the judgment, the complainant tendered the complaint after lapse of more than 9 months along with application for condonation of delay. The Labour Court was not convinced as regards reasonableness of the grounds stated by the complainant and as such rejected the application. There is absolutely no explanation in respect of occurrence of delay, at least after acquittal of the complainant on 04.07.1988. Services of the petitioner were terminated on 20.02.1984, whereas Complaint is presented to the Labour Court in the year 1993. The Revisional Court also recorded a finding that there are no reasonable grounds for condoning delay.
