In view of the contents of the affidavits dated 19 and 26 July 2012 of the Tahasildar, Thane, District Thane, we are not inclined to entertain this contempt petition merely because the respondent-authorities took more time in deciding the claims of the hutment dwellers for permanent alternate accommodation. Looking to the large number of claims made running into 35000 claims, the authorities were bound to take more time than stipulated in the order dated 18 October 2010. Even otherwise, during the pendency of the claims of the concerned persons, their hutments were not demolished and, therefore, no prejudice was caused to them on account of not deciding the claim within the stipulated time limit.
