ORAL ORDER:

1.Leave to implead the Superintendent of Land
Records as a party respondent. Amendment be carried
out forthwith. Learned A.G.P. waives notice for the
added respondent.

2.The limited grievance raised in the present
Petition is that though the land of the petitioner was
acquired and the award was passed, the correct entries
are not recorded in the revenue record.

3.Upon perusal of the communication dated
03.11.2007, it reveals that the Tahsildar had already

informed the Special Land Acquisition Officer
regarding the necessary entries to be made. This fact

is not disputed in the affidavit in reply filed on

behalf of the Special Land Acquisition Officer dated
17.12.2011, however, it is stated in the affidavit-in-

¶18

reply that this will be required to be done by the
Superintendent of Land Records, who has already been
requested to resurvey the land, so that the entries in
the land records can be corrected accordingly. A
statement in this respect has been made in the letter
dated 13.12.2011.

4.In that view of the matter, we dispose of the
Writ Petition with a direction to the Superintendent
of Land Record to take necessary entry as per
communication dated 13.12.2011 addressed to him by the
Special Land Acquisition Officer. This shall be done
within a period of two (2) months from today. The
Superintendent of Land Record would also give an
opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. Needless
to state that after the necessary orders are passed by
the Superintendent of Land Records, the other
authorities i.e. the Special Land Acquisition Officer
and the Tahsildar would take necessary action on the
basis of the same.
