consideration the fact that petitioner was involved in 7 cognizable offences and 11 non cognizable offences during the period 2008 to 2010. The in-camera statements of witnesses are relied upon, the notice of which was given to the petitioner. Perusal of the in-camera statements as well as C.Rs. registered against the petitioner shows that he was engaged in the commission of the offences punishable under Chapter 12, 16 and 17 of IPC. Because of the terror created by the petitioner, witnesses are not coming forward to depose in public. The competent authority, in my view, was justified in taking action against the petitioner under section 56 of the Bombay Police Act. After perusal of the material against the Petitioner, I am not inclined to interfere with the impugned order under Article 227 of the Constitution of India. Writ Petition is therefore dismissed.
