These three writ petitions have been filed by the owners

of health and beauty clinics/parlours. Their grievance is that

the police have asked them to stop running their clinics/parlours. According to the petitioners the police have threatened them that if they do not comply with their directions, cases would be registered against them.

In Writ Petition No.1013 of 2011, the concerned police station is M.R.A. Marg Police Station. In Writ Petition No. 1117 of 2011, the concerned police station is Dr. D. B. Marg Police Station. In Writ Petition No. 1029 of 2011, the concerned police station is D. N. Nagar Police Station. Mr. Ambadas More, API from M.R.A. Marg Police station is present in the Court. Mr. P.S.Rane, PSI from Dr. D. B. Marge Police Station is present in the Court. Mr. S.A. Bilhkar, Police Naik from D.N.Nagar Police Station is present in the Court. On instructions from them, learned AGP says that the apprehension expressed by the petitioners is misplaced. No such threats are given. We do not want to express any opinion on this aspect at this stage. Suffice it to say that in view of the statement made by the learned AGP, the petitioners can run their health and beauty clinics/parlours. Needless to say that if the respondents want

to initiate any action against the petitioners they will have to do so in accordance with law. This order will not prevent the respondents from taking any action in accordance with law.

Needless to say further that the petitioners will be at liberty to approach this Court in case the respondents take any action against them without following due process of law. Petitions stand disposed of.
