By this Writ Petition, the Petitioners have impugned the order passed by the Respondent No.3 dated 25th March 2010 (Exhibit-K to the Petition), rejecting request of the Petitioners seeking exemption under section 143(1)(a) of the M.M.C. Act. No reasons are set out in the said order as to why the Petitioners are not entitled to exemption under section 143(1)(a) of the M.M.C. Act.

Petitioners are allowed to file a fresh comprehensive Application seeking exemption under section 143(1)(a) of the M.M.C. Act.
(i) The Respondents are allowed to withdraw the order dated 25th March 2010 which is impugned in this Writ Petition.
(ii) The Petitioners shall file a fresh Application before the Respondents seeking exemption under section 143(1)(a) of the M.M.C. Act within a period of two weeks from today, which the Respondents shall dispose of within eight weeks thereafter.
(iii) All contentions of the parties are kept open.
(iv) Writ Petition is accordingly, disposed of.
