submits that a statement of one of the
petitioners was recorded in relation to an
accident between the jeep and the ST bus on

26-8-2007. Thereafter, a false supplementary
statement was alleged recorded on 19-9-2007 of
one of the petitioners by the investigating
officer which supplementary statement, according
to the counsel, is not given by any of the
petitioners. This defence could be raised in the
appropriate forum i.e. in the trial before the
Criminal Court or in the claim petition, if any,
filed before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal.
4) The writ petition is dismissed. It is
clarified that this Court has not expressed any
opinion on the merits of the matter.
