For the reasons separately recorded, the following order is passed:-
O R D E R
In the result, appeal is partly allowed. The conviction imposed by the Trial Court is confirmed. However, the sentence imposed by the Trial Court is modified and reduced to the sentence already undergone by the appellant in jail. The amount of fine which is imposed by the Trial Court is also set aside. The appellant be released forthwith, if not required in any other case.
