 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners. On

 the last date, the counsel for the petitioner made a
 statement that though no order was passed by the Civil
 Judge, Senior Division in the Regular Civil Suit NO.648
 of 2007, the respondent No.1 Collector is not proceeding
 with the matter. We, therefore, called for the record
 and proceedings of the suit. Today, learned counsel for
 the petitioner states that an order of status quo has
 been passed below Exhibit-5 on 10th August, 2007. In
 the circumstances, clearly the Collector was justified
 in not proceeding with the matter.

 2. There is no merit in the petition which is
 hereby rejected summarily. Liberty to the petitioner to
 challenge the status quo order in appropriate
 proceedings before the appropriate forum, if permissible
 in law.
