A grievance is made by the petitioner that the District Collector, State Excise has not passed any order on the applications moved by the petitioner for deletion of the name of partner from FL-II licence. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents invites my attention to communication dated 17.3.07 which records that the applications moved by the petitioner are already sent to the District Collector by the Commissioner, State Excise and thus it is undisputed that the decision on the said applications moved by the petitioner has to be taken by the Collector, State Excise. A limited prayer is pressed in service by learned counsel for the petitioner and the same is in regard to expeditious disposal of the applications pending on the

file of the Collector, State Excise. Learned additional government pleader submits that if so directed the Collector, State Excise shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and dispose of applications moved by the petitioner seeking deletion of name of partner from FL-II licence. In the result I direct the District Collector, State Excise, Satara to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on the applications moved by the petitioner copies of which are placed on record of writ petition at Exs. A and B within a period of six weeks from today. Rule made absolute in above terms.
