1. Heard Mr.Hegde in support of this
petition. Mr.Deshpande, A.G.P. appears
for the Respondents.
2. A grievance is made that six
seater autos are not being permitted to
operate in the area between Kalyan and
Ulhasnagar. Mr.Deshpande, A.G.P. for
the Respondents, points out that this is
a situation similar to the one which
occurred in Pune city where the six
seaters were banned from operating in
the city area and which position was
confirmed upto the Supreme Court. Be
that as it may, if the Petitioners want
to make any representation to the
Regional Transport Authority, they will
be at liberty to do so. The
representation, when made, will be
decided expeditiously, and preferably
within 4 weeks, after hearing the
Petitioners and appropriate order will
be passed. If any individual
applications are made, those individuals
will be called and heard. If any
applications are made for copy of the
order, the same will be made available
to them. It will be open to the
applicants to pursue their remedy
thereafter.
3. Petition stands disposed of with
the above order.
