grievance that the petitioner’s
name is not shown in the final
voters’ list for Ward No.17 of the
Solapur Municipal Corporation.
3. Mr.Jamdar, learned Counsel
appearing for respondent Nos.4 and
5, points out and rightly so that
as per Section 7A of the Bombay
Provincial Municipal Corporations
Act, 1949, the list of voters for
the Municipal Wards is on the
basis of the Assembly roll. This
roll has been available since
2005. No such steps were taken by
the petitioner. In any case,
today is the last date for filing
nominations. The Petition has,
therefore, become infructuous.
Hence, the same is dismissed.
