Fresh appeal has been filed u/s 26 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 against the order dated 21.07.2017 in O.C. No. 770/201. The appellant appeared in person and refers the order passed by the High Court of Madras dated 13.07.2017 by which the P.A.O. passed on 07.04.2017 was quashed. The Adjudicating Authority was the party in the said proceedings petition. It is evident that the Hon’ble High Court Judicature of Madras in Criminal O.P. No. 10497 and 10500/2017 has allowed the petitions and quashed the provisional attachment order but despite of that, the Adjudicating Authority proceeded with the matter by confirming the P.A.O. by the impugned order, which was passed subsequently. The counsel for the respondent submits that while passing the impugned order, the Adjudicating Authority might not have been aware about the order passed by the Hon’ble High Court.
