As per the provisions of Part XIV of Chapter VI of the Finance Act 2017, the Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange (ATFE) has been merged with the Appellate Tribunal under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Properties) Act, 1976 w.e.f. 26.05.2017. The file in the above said matter has been received by this Tribunal on 01st July, 2017.
The appellant is directed to supply the copy of the complete set of paperbooks to the learned counsel for the respondent who subsequently made the statement that reply has not been filed. Let the same be given within four weeks. This appeal is pending since 2011. The recovery amount is more than Rs. 40 Crores.
List all the pending applications and appeal for consideration on 11th January, 2018 at 02:30 PM.
