As per the provision of Part XIV of Chapter VI of the Finance Act 2017, the Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange (ATFE) has been merged with the Appellate Tribunal under the Smugglers & Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Properties) Act 1976, w. e. f. 26.05.2017.
Notice be issued. The appellant in the above said matter were directed to deposit 10 per cent of the amount of total penalty against them within thirty days. The stay order was passed by the Acting Chairman and Member on 20th December, 2016. To ascertain whether the stay order has been complied with or not, the registry will issue notice to the appellant as well as his counsel on record for the next date.
