As per the provisions of Part XIV of Chapter VI of the Finance Act 2017, the Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange (ATFE) has been merged with the Appellate Tribunal under the Smugglers & Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Properties) Act 1976, w. e. f. 26.05.2017. Files have been received by this Tribunal on 01.07.2017.
Review petition filed by the appellant was heard on 9th March, 2016 and order was reserved. The order could not be delivered by the earlier Bench. In the meanwhile, said Tribunal has now merged with the present Tribunal. In these circumstances, the review petition is to be FPA-FE-16/MUM/2004 Page 1 of 2
reargued. No one appears on behalf of the appellant. Registry to issue the notice for the appearance to the appellant as well as his counsel. Copy of the order be also sent by the registry.
