Present writ petition is filed in public interest seeking following relief:
“to issue an appropriate Writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order directing the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI / appointing a committee under the monitoring of this Hon’ble Court or appointment of an Hon’ble Retd. Judge of this Hon’ble Court to investigate the incidents happened in Tirupati - Deputy Mayor elections on 03.02.2025 and 04.02.2025 and submit

a report before this Hon’ble Court and that this Hon’ble Court pass appropriate writ, order or direction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India and do justice by appointing an SIT to investigate the role of public officials [including Police Department and other Election Commission officials] in the incidents happened in Tirupati - Deputy Mayor elections on 03.02.2025 and 04.02.2025 and mould the appropriate reliefs that will be in the public interest while upholding the Constitution of India and that this Hon’ble Court, pass appropriate writ, order or direction to formulate guidelines with respect to the role of public officials [including Police Department and other Election Commission officials] during elections and pass any order or direction as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present petition.”
2. Petitioner has been appearing as party-in-person. None appears for petitioner today, even on 29.04.2026 and 01.07.2026, there was no representation for petitioner.
3. Mrs.S.Pranathi, learned Special Government Pleader for the State, submits that investigation in pursuance to Crime No.18/2025 of S.V.U. Campus Police Station, Tirupati, has been concluded and charge sheet has been filed on 07.09.2026 before I Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Tirupati, and the same is pending consideration.

4. Mr.C.Nageswara Rao, learned Senior Counsel, appearing
for 7th respondent, submits that though his client was present in person during the occurrence of incident, the police in the process of investigation have neither recorded his statement nor permitted him to participate in the inquiry, therefore, the investigation is flawed, unless proper investigation is done, the persons involved in committing offense cannot be punished.
5. Petitioner, who has been appearing as party-in-person, appears to have lost interest in pursuing the matter. Be that as it may, considering the fact that the investigating agency, upon completion of investigation, laid charge sheet before competent court and is presently pending consideration, hence, we see no reason to continue with present proceedings. In so far as the grievance of 7th respondent is concerned, we leave it open for him to seek appropriate remedies before the jurisdictional Criminal Court.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending consideration,
if any, in this case shall stand closed.
