The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the petitioner was entrusted with the works viz., i) Laying of C.C internal cross at Ganesh Temple Street, Sanjaya Nagar, 2^nd street of 13^th Division, Agreement No. 76/EE-I/2022-2023, dated 17.05.2022 (Rs. 6,95,204/-); (ii) Construction of C.C Drain at Radha Nagar of 9^th Division, Agreement No.118/2023-24, dated 12.10.2023 (Rs. 5,22,513); (iii) Construction of C.C Drain and C.C Road at Jendra Veedhi at 32^nd Division, Kakinada Municipal Corporation, Agreement No.340/2019-2020, dated 07.03.2020 (Rs. 8,14,198/-) (iv) Laying of internal CC Road at Tarakarama Nagar of Dummulupeta in 10^th Division, Agreement No.285/EE-II/2022-23, dated 30.12.2022 (Rs. 7,19,111/-) (v) Providing Gravel road of Sanjay Nagar dumping yard, east side of Kakinada Municipal Corporation, Agreement No.77/2023-24, dated 11.07..2023 (Rs. 73,000/-; (vi) providing Gravel road of Sanjay Nagar dumping yard, north side of Kakinada Municipal Corporation, Agreement No.78/EE-II/2023-24, dated 11.07.2023 (Rs. 87,366/-) for the year 2023.

It is submitted that the Petitioner had completed the works entrusted to him and that the competent authority of the respondents had approved the payment due and payable to the Petitioner. The Respondents have also recorded the progress of the works and the amounts due and payable to the petitioner in the M-Book.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the Petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Sri M.Krishna Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Respondent No.2, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning.

During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Municipal Corporation submits that the works have been completed and that the Petitioner has also submitted the final bills and the amounts due and payable to the Petitioner have been duly admitted. It is submitted that further funds are awaited and that, soon after the release of the funds, the bills due and payable to the Petitioner shall be cleared.

Recording the submissions, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the respondents to verify and release the payments

due and payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
