ORDER :

The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:

“… to issue an appropriate Writ Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of Respondents 2 and 3 in not registering an FIR and not taking action against Respondent No 4 in respect of the brutal assault committed on the petitioner on 26012026 despite the complaint and representation dated 03022026 submitted by the petitioner as illegal arbitrary and violative of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and contrary to the law laid down by the Honble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v Government of Uttar Pradesh and consequently direct the Respondents 2 and 3 to register an FIR against Respondent No 4 and take appropriate action in accordance with law and further provide necessary police protection to the petitioner and his family members and pass …”

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader.

The Writ Petition has been filed for non-registration of the FIR. The learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.31 of 2026 was registered by the Station House Officer, L.Kota Police Station, Vizianagaram District.

In view of the above, no orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition, but the Investigating Officer shall complete the investigation as early as possible and file appropriate proceedings before the jurisdictional magistrate in accordance with law.
