The Writ Petition is filed for the following relief:

“….to issue a writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the Respondents in not considering the case of Petitioner promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector on ground of pendency of disciplinary case and inordinate delay in concluding the disciplinary proceedings as illegal, arbitrary and ultra virus to the rules, and Consequently direct the Respondents to Promote the Petitioner to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector without reference to the disciplinary Proceedings pending against him and pass such……”

The grievance of the Petitioner is that his case was not considered for promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector on the ground of pendency of a disciplinary case and the inordinate delay in concluding the disciplinary proceedings.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader, appearing for the Respondents, placed on record the Proceedings bearing R.No.13024/42/C2/2026/Zone-II (1), dated 19.05.2026, issued by the Transport Commissioner, Vijayawada, whereby the Petitioner, who is working as Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector in the Office of the DTO, Rajamahendravaram, East Godavari District, has been temporarily promoted as Motor Vehicle Inspector under Rule 10(a) of the Andhra

Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, and directed to report for duty as Motor Vehicle Inspector in the Office of the Unit Office, Devarapalli, East Godavari District, against the existing vacancy.

In view of the aforesaid proceedings, the grievance of the Petitioner, insofar as his promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector is concerned, stands redressed. Consequently, no further cause survives for adjudication in the present Writ Petition.

Considering the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader and taking into account the Proceedings of the Transport Commissioner, Vijayawada, bearing R.No.13024/42/C2/2026/Zone-II (1), dated 19.05.2026, the Writ Petition is accordingly closed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
