This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with

the following prayer for:

“.... to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS, declaring the action of the Respondents in interfering with the ,lawful activities of the Petitioner Society, VICTORY SPORTS CULTURAL and RECREATION SOCIETY, Regd. No. 186 of 2025, situated at

D.No.1,36,311, Sriram Nagar, Vykuntapuram, Chirala, Bapatla District, including obstruction to play the game of Rummy (13 Card Game) Syndicate by its members, and non-consideration of the representation of the petitioner society dt.29.12.2025 as illegal, arbitrary, unjust, and contrary to the judgments of the Honble Supreme Court of India and this Honble Court, and consequently direct the Respondents not to interfere with the lawful activities of the Petitioner Society, including the playing of Rummy (13 Card Game) with stakes, subject to the Petitioner installing CCTV cameras and providing access to the police, and it is further consequentially prayed to consider the representation of the petitioner society dt. 29.12.2025 ”

2. Heard Sri GVS Kishore Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner’s representation is pending before respondent No.3 and therefore seeks a direction to the police to consider the said representation in the light of the amendment introduced in the year 2020 to the A.P. Gaming Act and to take an appropriate decision in the matter. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the address of the registered society has been wrongly mentioned and, therefore, seeks liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the Sub-Divisional Police Officer.

4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders.

5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner is at liberty to make a fresh representation to the concerned police officers. Upon receipt of such representation, the police concerned are directed to look into the petitioner’s representation and take

appropriate decision over the matter in accordance with law in the light of the amendment introduced in the year 2020 to the A.P. Gaming Act. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
