“….to issue an order, direction or writ, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 2nd Respondent in renewing the passport of the petitioner for one year instead of 10 years as discriminatory illegal, arbitrary, contrary to law against the Passports Act, 1967 and the Rules made thereunder and in violation of Article 14, 19, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct Respondent No.2 to forthwith to renew the passport of the petitioner for 10 years as is done for other citizens of India and pass ….”
