The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only), sanctioned to the Petitioner No.2 (Application I.D. No.OV2019122420) under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme, as illegal and arbitrary.

The Petitioner No.2 had applied for financial assistance under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme for the academic year 2019-2020 and the same was allotted with Application I.D. No. OV2019122420. After due verification, Respondent-Authorities sanctioned Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) in favour of the Petitioner No.2 for pursuing MSC-Performance Analysis of Sport at Otto Von Guericke University at Magdeburg, Germany in two (02) installments. Though, the Petitioner No.2 had completed her MSCPerformance Analysis of Sport Course, the financial assistance as promised to the Petitioner No.2 was not disbursed to her.

Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

No.4/Corporation submits that the application of the Petitioner No.2 would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner No.2 is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts.

Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:-

(i) The Respondents are directed to examine the

claim of the Petitioner No.2 within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶43

(ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner No.2 is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner No.2 within a further period of eight (08) weeks.

(iii) There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Petition shall stand closed.
